Reverend Fursan Zumot will speak in Friendship Hall at 10:00 am on Saturday, October 8, on “What it means to be Christian in the Middle East.”
Reverend Zumot is part of the Presbyterian Church (USA)’s International Peacemaker program and represents Palestine. He is pastor of the historic Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Redeemer in Jerusalem. As an International Peacemaker, Rev. Zu’mot looks forward to sharing the situation and challenges for the Christian Church in the Holy Land and the diminishing presence of Christians in the region.
He will describe the efforts to support Christians spiritually and economically and to advocate for a just and lasting peace for all people in Israel and Palestine and speak about his personal experiences as an Arab speaking Palestinian Christian. Please join us!
